The Power Of Jesus

Senior Pastor Lawrence and I, together with our FCBC team, attended the G12 Mongolia Conference this past week. At the conference, Pastor Art Sepulveda from Word of Life Christian Center in Hawaii, USA, who’s also a speaker at our upcoming G12 Asia Conference, preached on “The Power of Jesus”. His message encouraged me so much that I want to share it with you, my dear family.

From the gospels, we see the power of Jesus clearly documented as He performed great and mighty miracles while He was living amongst us on earth. He healed the sick, cast out evil spirits, made the blind see, the lame walk, the mute speak, the deaf hear, and many more uncountable miracles that we will probably hear from Jesus when we meet Him face to face in heaven for eternity.

We read from the gospels of Luke and Mark that when Jesus raised His 12 disciples, He gave them power and authority over evil and sicknesses.

“Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.” (Luke 9:1, NKJV)

“And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits.” (Mark 6:7, NKJV)

In fact, Jesus spontaneously gave His 12 disciples authority and power over evil spirits and physical illnesses. There was no need for His disciples to beg Him for power to share the gospel as Jesus freely bestowed His power and authority upon them ahead of their ministry. Dear family, I want you to know and understand that likewise, Jesus has already given us the necessary power to win and disciple our 12, in our quest to form 1728 cells.

Our Lord Jesus also promised us in John 14:13 (NKJV) that “whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” Church, we do not need to ask God for power: He has already given it to us. Now, all we have to do is to declare His power, and by faith, appropriate God’s provisions in winning our potential disciples for God’s kingdom to be established on earth. FCBC, in Christ Jesus, we are a great people and we have great power. Jesus is saying to you today, “ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!” (John 14:14, NLT)
