A Peek Into Our Lives This Past Month

This past month has been hectic, but also exhilarating and enjoyable. Kicking off with hosting our 15th G12 Asia Conference, where a total of 9,038 delegates from 18 countries all over Asia and the world congregated in Singapore to be the light. In the midst of this, Senior Pastor Lawrence and Priscilla were engaged in intense daily rehearsals for The Nutcracker, which was soon to launch at Gateway Theatre. As a special treat for this year’s foreign delegates, they were invited to catch a full dress rehearsal of The Nutcracker immediately after the conference. It was an apt ending to this year’s conference, where we showed them how FCBC is being the light in the Arts & Entertainment gate through Gateway Entertainment (GE).

Two weeks later, after the 15th and final show of The Nutcracker on Sunday evening, Senior Pastor Lawrence and I, together with some staff and pastors from GE and FCBC, hosted a dinner for a few key delegates who were in Singapore for the inaugural Asian Media Alliance meetings over the next two days. They had deliberately arrived a day earlier to watch the very last show of The Nutcracker and we were overjoyed to host them. The Asian Media Alliance proved to be two wonderful days of practical sharing on our own media journeys. It was great to interact and share candidly with one another on key issues, struggles and our challenges, and it left me with a deeper understanding of how we can enhance our media involvement to be the salt and light in this arena. It also left me wonderfully inspired on how to better nurture our dreams and efforts for future media participation.

Immediately following the Asian Media Alliance, Senior Pastor Lawrence and I left for Bangkok, Thailand, together with Pastors Richard and Jenny, to attend this year’s G12 Thailand Conference. Senior Pastor Lawrence preached four messages to about 1,500 attendees from 90 G12 churches all over the nation.

After this intense month, we’re thankful to be back and are now dedicating our time to look after our grandchildren, Hannah and Isaac, whilst their parents catch a short break at Phu Quoc Emerald Bay in Vietnam.

It’s good to be back home!
