Dear disciples of FCBC, Senior Pastor Lawrence and I have been so thrilled to hear many good reports of your “BEST” being saved and transformed by our Lord Jesus, when they come to understand and accept His salvation. We’ve heard stories of prayers answered, broken relationships healed and marriages restored. All of these bear testimony to God’s desire for the lost, as well as your perseverance with acts of love and kindness through every prayer and thoughtful gift.
As a faith community of obedient disciples, you have responded to our Lord’s command in Mark 16:15, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature”. In many instances, we’ve seen the words of 2 Peter 3:9 happen before our very eyes as we share God’s salvation with our “BEST”, “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
Our current strategy of winning souls through 幸福小组 (xing fu xiao zu) allows us to fulfill the mandate that Apostle Paul gave the Church of Corinth in 1 Corinthians 15:1-5, “Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve.”
