Are You Ready?

Dear friends,
As we commemorate and celebrate God’s love and mercy to us this Easter weekend, I want to share Apostle Paul’s words from 1 Timothy 1:15 (NIV) with all of us, “Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.” Yes, Jesus came into our world to save sinners, and if we’re honest, all of us fall into this category.

This verse embodies the Good News of Jesus Christ that all Christians are called to share with the world, especially during Easter. We need to reach out to friends who have yet to be saved, and tell them that Christ left the splendour of heaven and came into this world to save sinners, like you and I. As Luke 19:10 (NIV) writes, “the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Although we were lost and undeserving of grace in our sinful state, Christ sacrificed Himself to save us. By His blood, we are free! And now, every one of us is more than qualified to receive Jesus as our personal Lord and Saviour!

But first, we must acknowledge our sinfulness and seek Jesus’ forgiveness with repentance. As Romans 5:8 (NIV) tells us, “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” We’re sinners who need forgiveness, and only through true and utter repentance can we fully receive God’s love for us. As we walk with Christ, we will experience His amazing transformation in all areas of our lives. Dear friends, it’s my wish and prayer this Easter that every one of you will encounter our risen Christ! Are you ready for this today?
