Sanctified as One Body

Tuesday, April 29, 2014

In April 2014, Senior Pastor Lawrence Khong called for a Week of Sanctification to seek God’s protection, provision and power as FCBC geared up for several challenges. “I sense that God is bringing many challenges to converge upon us as a Church,” shared Senior Pastor Lawrence.

These challenges include our public stand to defend the family and marriage in Singapore, judicial review concerning the Ministry of Manpower, TOUCH Community Theatre Rebuilding Project, Gateway Entertainment’s advancement into the international Arts and Entertainment landscape, and our goal of 1,728 cells by July 2015.

With fervour, members of FCBC actively responded to the call and packed TOUCHCENTRE to capacity. It was truly a first and a blessing to see more people crowd a prayer meeting in a setting like this, than at our weekly Celebration Services.

Night after night, Senior Pastor Lawrence issued a challenge to develop a pilgrim’s mindset and live for the Kingdom of God and not for the kingdom of earth. As written in 1 Peter 2:11 (NIV 1984), “Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul.”

With open hearts and on bended knee, members of FCBC sought the Lord in unity for His forgiveness; laying everything at His feet once again to live as a true pilgrim. Through the Week of Sanctification, both pastors and members of FCBC were refreshed in both body and spirit! Praise God!
