This Mother’s Day, I want to express my deep love and appreciation to my wife who has sacrificed so much for our family. Her love, devotion and loyalty to my four children and I more than qualifies her as the virtuous wife described in Proverbs 31. I’ve written a tribute in praise of my wife, Nina. And I hope every husband in FCBC will show your love and appreciation for your wives in your own special way.
God's Greatest Treasure
Nina, you are God’s greatest treasure to me.
Beyond my deepest dreams; beyond my dearest dates;
you are the wisest choice I’ve ever made.
Beyond my childish fantasies,
beyond my wildest aspirations,
you are certainly God’s special preparation
to be my helper in my life.
You are my ever-faithful companion as we labour together
to fulfill God’s greatest plan for our lives.
Thank you for journeying with me
with undying devotion and undaunted loyalty
through the relentless challenges of life.
Thank you for being my most honest critique,
yet my most ardent supporter.
For believing in me even though you see through my façade
and know all my hidden insecurities.
Most of all, thank you for your godly purity
that does not allow me to compromise God’s truth,
that keeps me in the path of righteousness and
enables us to fulfill God’s highest purposes together.
