LoveJapan

I’m currently in Japan with the LoveSingapore leadership team for a missions planning trip. Over the last two years, the Lord has been placing an increasing burden in our hearts for this land and we believe that God is leading us to serve and be a blessing to Japan.

Christianity in Japan is said to be at approximately 2% of the population. I strongly believe that this is a place for us to step up and step out in boldness and live out our faith. Jesus said in Matthew 9 that, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” This truth is so apparent in Japan. But what’s interesting is that Jesus didn’t tell us to pray for people to encounter God or hear the gospel. He specifically told us to pray for God to send more workers into the harvest field.

Church, we are those workers. I’m really excited about what God has been saying to us here in Japan. We’re going to be working on plans for us to ramp up our missions efforts to Japan in the next two years and I know that this is a divine moment. I pray that we will be just like Jesus in Matthew 9 who went through all the towns and villages, teaching, preaching, and serving people. And the most important of all, He had compassion for the people.

As much as I’m excited about the work of God here in Japan, I’m praying for God to continually break my heart for this land. Japan really needs the gospel and I know this is the time for the church in Singapore to rise up and bring the greatest blessing to them.
