What if I told you that the reason for the season is you? This was the message Deputy Senior Pastor Daniel Khong and Pastor Daniel Gan brought to FCBC and all the pre-believing guests that were invited to our Christmas services in 2015.
The theme for this Christmas was “The Chosen One”. During Christmas, most of us would relate Jesus Christ to the chosen one. And rightly so, as Christmas does celebrate the birth of our Saviour. But the speakers reminded us that we too are the chosen ones. They illustrated this by asking the question: Which is more valuable – the gift or the recipient? “The recipient of a gift is always more valuable than the gift itself,” said Pastor Daniel.
Because we’re so loved by God, He gave us the greatest gift of all. “Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.” (Ephesians 1:4, NLT)
This past Christmas, we praise God that over 164 new believers decided for the first time to choose Jesus and make Him the reason for the season and all the days of their lives. Jesus – we choose You!
