A Voice of Hope in Our Silent World
FCBC's ministry to the Deaf began in 1989 with less than 10 members. Today, the Deaf Ministry has more than 100 deaf children, youths and adults attending our services.
Aside from attending cell groups and celebration services, the Deaf are also actively participating in outreach activities, church conferences and mission trips. They have even formed a football team, and have gone on overseas trips to places like Malaysia and Indonesia to share the gospel with the local Deaf using football as a vehicle.
Being part of the church, some of them attended FCBC's G12 Conference at the beginning of this year and they are excited to begin this new journey with the church. They also see it as a great opportunity for them to be able to disciple others. Pastor David Wee, pastor-in-charge of Deaf Ministry, will conduct the Encounter weekends in Sign Language for the very first time.
Statistics show that we have approximately 364 million deaf people worldwide (Source: Network for Strategic Missions). Are these people our forgotten mission field? If you wish to reach out to the Deaf and want to learn more about Silent World, please e-mail Pastor David Wee at david.wee@fcbc.org.sg
Mission Statement We seek to build God-fearing Christians within a God-centred community with a strong passion in sharing the Gospel to lost souls.
