Tawau MP urges public to support charity show
- Borneo Post

TAWAU: The 'Magic of Love' premiere in aid of five charities has earned the support of Tawau member of parliament Shim Paw Fatt who called on the public to help make the event at the House of Prayer, St Patrick's Church on May 24 a success.

A collection will be done on the opening night with the proceeds going to the Prison Fellowship (Tawau), Sri Stella Disabled Children Education Center, Tawau Hospice Association, Haemo-dialysis Center of Rotary Club of Tawau Tanjong and Tawau Deaf Association.

"This is a very good initiative for the church to help the less fortunate people. We need the public to respond to this move so that together we can help our community," said Shim after he accepted invitation from Reverend Albert Vun of St Patrick's Church to attend the premiere.

'Magic of Love', which is a fusion of illusion acts, drama, song, dance and a reverting story of sacrificial love between a father and daughter, will be screened for the first time in Malaysia next Friday.

The multi-million production, which has won rave reviews in Singapore and Las Vegas, USA, will be screened five times at the House of Prayer from May 24 to 27, including a matinee for children, students and senior citizens at 2pm on May 27. All evening shows start at 7.30pm.

"From the publicity, it looks like an impressive production with a meaningful story. I am really looking forward to it."

"It is an ingenious idea to spread the message of love through such high quality production. I will be there," said Shim.
