2011 LoveSingapore Pastors' Summit

17 – 20 Jan, Malacca

It was all about seeking the presence of God. For four days, over 480 pastors and ministry leaders from 71 churches and 19 Christian organizations gathered in Malacca for the 16th Love Singapore Pastors’ Summit. For 2011, the theme was ‘Revival & Transformation’, where it challenged delegates to pause, reflect and seek not only God’s presence, but also His voice.

It was an impactful and spirit-filled conference which saw hearts and minds coming together as one to soak in the presence of the Lord. Besides calling for unity in the bond of God’s love, our Senior Pastor and Chairman of LoveSingapore, Lawrence Khong, took the opportunity to elaborate and outline the strategies leading up to the height of Singapore’s transformation in 2015, also known as the Jubilee year. Senior Pastor Khong encouraged attendees to wait on the Lord and seek His purpose in our lives, while allowing the Holy Spirit to transform and change us to who God wants us to be. “We need a fresh hunger, a new and holy desperation. We need the Lord to put His fire back in us. We will not settle for less than the Spirit’s manifest power in and through us,” he said.

Besides having a record attendance, the summit also broke new ground by inviting two foreign guest speakers to share and minister to God’s word and vision for the church in Singapore. Blazing a spiritual trail and leaving behind a deep lasting impression was Douglass Norwood and David Demian who re-emphasized on the importance and role unity and love to drive transformation – in our churches as well as throughout our nation.
