About Faith Community Baptist Church

Faith Community Baptist Church (FCBC) was founded in 1986 by Senior Pastor Apostle Lawrence Khong. Together with his wife, Senior Pastor Nina, and a dedicated team of pastors, Apostle Lawrence has nurtured FCBC to grow into a 10,000 strong member church with a vision to serve the nations by effecting Community Transformation in Singapore and gateway cities in Asia through cutting-edge ministries.

Over the years, FCBC has reached out to the multitudes with its celebration services for its English, Chinese, Youth, Children, Hokkien and Cantonese-speaking congregants. Its two celebration centres at TOUCHCENTRE (TC) at 3 Marine Parade Central, and TOUCH Community Theatre (TCT) at 3615 Jalan Bukit Merah, provide a vibrant dynamic environment for worshipers to have a powerful and personal encounter with God.

In 1986, FCBC volunteers birthed the work of TOUCH Community Services among latchkey kids. In 1992, TOUCH registered as a not-for-profit charitable organisation and is an Institution of a Public Character (IPC). It aims to establish and provide the needy and disadvantaged an integrated network of community-based services that strengthens families and transforms communities.

FCBC has also pioneered various specialised ministries to care for specific groups of individuals with special needs. The Prison Ministry, Deaf Ministry and Mint (Minds in Christ) which serves persons with intellectual disabilities, are some of the ministries that FCBC actively engages in to help these individuals develop their fullest potential with the word of God.

Another cutting edge ministry comes in the form of Gateway Entertainment (GE) – a theatre and entertainment production business that forms the creative arm of FCBC. Since its inception in 2000, GE has staged innovative world-class performances that uniquely combine magic, music, drama and dance to establish God’s kingdom in the marketplace. It is fronted by Apostle Lawrence and his daughter, Priscilla, who have established themselves as Singapore’s only father and daughter illusionist team.

At a national level, FCBC is part of the Love Singapore movement which is co-driven by Apostle Lawrence and various local church leaders. It is committed to build an alliance of churches that are united to bless Singapore and the other nations of the world.

Since 2002 till to date, FCBC is a G12 (Government of 12) cell church - a part of the international G12 movement founded by Pastor Cesar Castellanos from Bogota, Columbia. Aligned and committed to G12’s vision to 'go and make disciples of all nations,’ FCBC continues to extend the Kingdom of God to the multitudes by preaching and teaching the gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit and training committed followers of Christ.
